My Energy Healing Journey
how i got started
I first experienced energy healing in 2010 while getting a massage from a friend of my mothers. I was having a lot of neck pain and regular massage treatments and medications (the doctor put me on steroids) were not working. I guess my massage therapist thought I would have been really put off by an energy healing treatment or whatever because she asked my permission to "try something" without telling me what she planned to do. She put her hands about an inch away from me. All I felt was an extreme amount of heat being directed at the pain in my neck. I almost immediately felt that spot relax and I didn't have any pain. The treatment lasted only about 10 minutes before she moved onto my regular massage therapy. After the massage, she could tell that my shoulders weren't up by my ears anymore, and that I looked more relaxed. She told me she just did some "spiritual healing on me" that "came from the ground" and that was the only information she gave me. So I went to Google.
Somehow, Googling "spiritual healing that comes from the ground" worked and I read about a technique called Reiki. I learned that the pain in my neck was most likely caused by stuck emotions, and that the treatment I received helped me to temporarily release those emotions. I wanted to get a full-on Reiki treatment. My mom's friend didn't want to do it again. I found some local Chicago people on the internet, but I could not financially afford what they were asking for their services. I never found anyone, but I always kept Reiki in the back of my mind as something I wanted to try if I had another opportunity.
How I decided to become a Reiki practitioner is something I have a hard time explaining. In the fall of 2018, I just had a strong feeling that I should stop searching for someone to do Reiki on me and just become a "Reiki Person" myself. In December 2018, I decided to make that my New Year Resolution; I will become a "Reiki Person". I kid you not, the very next day my yoga studio sent out an e-mail announcing they were hosting a Reiki Level I training in February at their studio. I was probably the first person to sign up. I earned my Reiki I certificate in February 2019 and I completed my Masters in May 2022.
My Qualifications and Belief System

I have been professionally attuned to Reiki and hold training certificates in the Usui System of Natural Healing in accordance with the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition. I earned my Reiki Master certificate on May 7, 2022. I chose to earn these certificates because I love and adore my Reiki teacher, and these are the certifications she provides through the International Association of Reiki Professionals. However, I choose not to be a member of the organization due to my differing beliefs on energy healing. Reiki is just one method of energy healing that originates from Japan. I study and practice many other energy healing traditions from around the world. I have a mentor who is an expert in ancient Egyptian energy healing, and I also study and practice Slavic, Celtic, Nordic, and psychic energy healing methods. I refer to myself as an Energy Healer.
While some Reiki techniques may be used in your sessions with me, I always utilize whatever modes of healing I feel will best serve you in the moment, or if there is something specific you want me to do. I do not have a set script I stick to, and I never conduct my sessions in the same way each time. I am very respectful of your time and will always focus on what you need in the moment.
Energy Healing Services
IN PERSON AT MY HOME
$100
My home is set up to conduct energy healing sessions and all are welcome to come here! I work on human beings newborn to 100+ years of age. Minors must be accompanied by their legal guardian, and the guardian must remain in my home throughout the entire session. Adults should plan to arrive alone, unless needed for ability reasons. Significant others are not allowed to be present during energy healing sessions. My home is cigarette, cigar, and marijuana-smoke free, no exceptions.
DISTANCE / ZOOM ENERGY HEALING
$100
I am happy to offer you a reading/healing session over FaceTime or Skype. These sessions are often shorter than in person sessions and tend to focus more on psychic readings and/or targeted areas on the body that require energetic healing. Please allow at least one hour for your session. Significant others are not allowed to be present during energy healing sessions.
I TRAVEL TO YOU
$150
For an additional small fee, I am happy to come out your way for a session. I would prefer to keep these sessions specifically for those with disabilities, or when travel to my home is not possible. Significant others are not allowed to be present during energy healing sessions, unless needed for ability reasons.
ANIMAL AND PET ENERGY HEALINGS
$75
Pets need energy healing too, especially senior animals! This can be done at your home, over FaceTime/Skype, or as a psychic distance healing. Your pet does not need to do anything special and can go about their business during the entire session. Most animals will want to be near me, but not all of them. Don't worry if your pet is shy! The session will work no matter what they plan to do that day.
REIKI INFUSED OBJECTS
$50
Do you have a family heirloom that you would like infused with healing? Did you accidentally buy a fake crystal and wish it had the healing properties you were looking for? Infuse that object with energy healing! This will need to be done in person and I will need to hold the object in my hands. I can attune the object with any intention you desire.
LEARN TO BECOME AN ENERGY HEALER
$100
I teach and attune too! Your training will consist of many different healing techniques that I have studied from around the world, as well as psychic training. Reiki will be a part of it. However, I choose not to be a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals and will not issue certificates specific to Reiki traditions. You will walk away from my training with confidence and the necessary skills to start taking on your own clients.
